Very much hidden away in the craggy wilds of Islay, accessible only to those with stout boots and a sturdy physique, this distillery with a name that translates as ‘sound of Islay’ dates back to 1846. Like so many, it has had an up and down ride to its current state. But the dram is why we’re here. Considered lighter in style for an Islay, it still has an iodine/medicinal whiff and a peaty base upon which lie floral and fruited flavour. It starts slightly sweet, then progresses through to a charred, bone-dry finish. Intriguing as it is rare.

THE SOURCE Rosehip Gin is forged by the four seasons that blow through the Cardrona Valley, Southern Alps, New Zealand. A natural matrix of locally foraged rosehip, together with traditional juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, lemon and orange zest, vapour-distilled into our Single Malt Spirit.
