Matsui Kurayoshi Sherry Cask Whiskey
A sherried expression from the Kurayoshi range, created by little-known Japanese whisky producer Matsui Shuzou (also known for sake and shochu).
The boutique-sized Matsui Distillery is located in Tottori, a coastal prefecture on southern Honshu in the Chūgoku region of Japan.Their whiskies are characterized by the pure underground waters from the Daisen Mountains that they use while aging their product. This Kurayoshi whisky is bottled after maturing in oak for three years and finishing in sherry casks.

NIKKA FROM THE BARREL MALT WHISKY 500ML
This is a blend of multiple types of malt and grain that Nikka reserves. Nikka From the Barrel was created to deliver full flavors and richness of whisky "from barrels" which only blenders can sniff and taste. As the whisky contains so many characteristic components at a higher alcohol of 51.4%, it is essential to let the liquid "marriage" in used casks for 3-6 months for it to stabilize and harmonize. The concept of the unique short squared bottle is "a small lump of whisky", which perfectly visualizes the rich and strong taste of the whisky inside
OBAN 14YO SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY 700ML
Fine single malt whisky has been made here for over 200 years, in one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. ObanTM is made using only the finest barley, malted to the distillery's own particular specification. Partly germinated barley is gently dried in a kiln where a light peat smoke gives the malt a distinctive character and taste.The result is the smoky, malty dryness in the flavour and finish of ObanTM. The stills used are among the smallest in Scotland; the cramped nature of the site is attested to by the odd position of the worm tubs, fed by unusually short lyne arms, and nestled in the 'vee' between the roofs of the still house and an adjoining building. Food suggestion: ObanTM is simply lovely with chicken satay or even crystallised ginger. Taste style: Medium. Quite malty and sweet opening, with a medium body and a generous dry finish. A hint of spiciness perhaps, and seashore on the nose. Tasting Notes: bustling seaside resort has grown up around Oban TM distillery in the two centuries since it set up home in a fishing village. The West Highland malt is still produced in the same unhurried, traditional fashion. Strength: 43% ABV Appearance: Olive gold. Nose: Rich sweetness and fruits - oranges, lemons and pears, with sea-salt and peaty smokiness. Body: Full, rich. Palate: Mouth-filling late autumn fruits - dried figs and honey-sweet spices; followed by a smoky malty dryness. Finish: Long, smooth-sweet finish with oak-wood, dryness and a grain of salt.
